Use of Donations:

The priority of Aurora’s Promise is to the charitable purpose of allocating backpacks, educational supplies, and school uniforms to kindergarten and elementary school children.  Other use of funds will be allocated to the Organization’s fundraising and administrative expenses.

On behalf of Aurora’s Promise, we thank you in advance for your interest and support in giving children a better future.

Oversight of Distributions:

Aurora’s Promise will work directly with school officials in the United States and Guanajuato, México to identify recipient schools and deliver essential educational supplies and backpacks to those schools most in need.  During its inaugural mission, President and Founder, Aurora Baez, along with a member of the Board of Director and/or a committee member will personally deliver all available goods to the selected school(s).

The selection process for distribution of educational supplies, backpacks, and school uniforms is a two-part process.  First, one or more Board Members will meet with school officials to identify potential recipient schools, and second, once the schools have been identified, the Board of Directors will review and select the recipient schools based on need.

School officials and/or instructors will be asked to submit periodic reports to the corporation stating how they have incorporated the educational school supplies into their lesson plans and other school-related activities.

Additional oversight of distributions to foreign organization(s) will consist of an independent party from Guanajuato, Mexico, as approved by Aurora’s Promise Board of Directors, who will meet with recipient school officials to ensure that the distributions are enhancing the educational needs of the children of the rural schools.  A comprehensive report will be generated and submitted by the independent party to the Board of Directors for their review.
